Leo decided to leave the brotherhood and follow a non-religious career path of teaching. He inspired and molded the young minds of many students. He worked at Rhodes School (River Grove) from 1978 teaching Math and Social Studies and retired in 2010. Leo loved being outdoors and the activities that came with it, bike riding and playing tennis, coaching sports and traveling when he could. Aside from his strong-willed personality there were many other different sides of Leo, one loving that touched many with his great sense of humor, using puns and writing jokes (dad jokes included).
