Mrs. Sandra Rae Pavin, 75, of Wataga, Illinois passed away peacefully at 4:25 pm Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital with her family by her side.

Sandra was born June 28, 1946, in Galesburg, Illinois the daughter of Ray and Bethaline (Curtis) McGraw. She first married Tom Pierce, and later Dale Melton. She then married Robert Pavin on January 28, 1998, in Evansdale, Iowa.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 23 years, Bob of Wataga; her three children, Kevin Melton of North Henderson, Illinois, Shelley (the late Jack Moore) of Cape Coral, Florida, and Robin Melton of Galesburg; her stepdaughter, Shelly (Melton) Ward of Rushville, Illinois; five grandchildren, Courtney (Melton) Wheeler, Ashante Dortch, Deja and Lyric Williams and Tavia Mitchelle and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Tavien Mitchelle.

Sandra attended Galesburg schools, graduating in 1965. She worked for the former Admiral/Maytag Corporation. Sandra met many friends while bartending at the Silver Front, the Kozy Inn and Cottons. Sandra had a love for dancing and spending time with her family and her two dogs, Hercules, and Buffy.

Sandra’s wishes were to be cremated. Visitation will be from 10:00a.m.-12:00p.m., Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to Guardian Angel Humane Society. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
