Billy "Dale" Stancil
<p><br /> Mr. Billy “Dale” Stancil, 82, died peacefully at his home in North Myrtle Beach, SC on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. Dale was born on August 24, 1939, in Benson, NC to the late O. V. and Geneva Creech Stancil. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, R. Wayne Stancil. The Wake Forest University graduate was the former owner and operator of Sugar Mountain Resort in Banner Elk, NC, and a member of the Surf Golf and Beach Club in North Myrtle Beach. Dale was a kind and generous man who loved reading, golf, and watching football. Dale was a loving husband to his wife, Nancy Smith Stancil. He is also survived by sons, W. Dale (Catherine) and Cliff, both of Winston-Salem, NC, proud grandfather to Lawson and Paul Stancil, sister-in-law Maggie Stancil and step-daughter Tina Simmons (Shane) and children Cameron and Parker Simmons of Advance, NC</p> <p>At Dale’s request, there will be no funeral or celebration of life. He asked that friends remember him the way he was and honor his memory by helping others.</p>Obituary
