Betty J. Williams Donovan, 80, of Burlington died Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 1:47am at Azria Health Prairie Ridge in Mediapolis, IA. Born September 22, 1941 in El Reno, OK, she was the daughter of Curran Newton and Hazel Bell (Klohn) Williams. Betty graduated in 1960 from Springville High School in Springville, IA. Betty married Leroy Bird in 1965 and they divorced November 1967, she married Russell George Grawet December 19, 1967. He died August 20, 1984. Betty married Michael J. Donovan he died February 14, 1992. She lived in many states and loved to travel. Betty enjoyed playing bingo, reading books, watching TV and spending time with Robin and going to Jason’s concerts. Survivors include her daughters Robin (Jeff) Stivers of Burlington, Rayline (James) Householder of Toledo, OH, Rose Grawet of Kentucky; stepchildren Henry Grawet of Oquawka, IL, Raymond Grawet of Keithsburg, IL, Becky Davis of Illinois, Valerie Grawet and George Grawet of Belle Plaine, IA; Sister, Evelyn Ferguson of Texas; Brother, Newton Curran Williams of Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, daughter Ruth Ann Bird, two sisters Alice Rose Burgess and Nancy Lee Cooper and one brother. According to her wishes cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel. A celebration of Life will be held on March 20, 2022. Inurnment will be at Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date.
