Judith "Judy" Aldridge
Judith "Judy" Aldridge, age 76, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 in St. Louis, MO. Judy was born on May 21, 1940 in Pontoon Beach, IL, a daughter of the late William and Nellie Irene (Alexander) Boerckel. Judy was a member of the Eastern Star in Granite City, IL. She enjoyed playing the slot machines at the area casinos. Judy also enjoyed collecting precious moment figurines, snow globes and angels. She was a proud homemaker who loved taking care of her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Judy will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, James Aldridge, who passed away on October 31, 1987; and by two sisters, Janet Wood and Jackie Brooks. She is survived by her loving children, Tim (Cynthia) Aldridge of Granite City, IL and Elizabeth (Virgil) Aldridge-Parrott of Imperial, MO; dear sister, Virginia Coons of Pacific, MO; proud grandmother to Mark (Stormy) Udell of Chatam, IL, Timothy (Tristen) Aldridge of Collinsville, IL, Jon Fahrner of Granite City, IL; Matthew Parrott of Granite City, IL, Jamie Aldridge of Granite City, IL and James (Jannifer) Best of Granite City, IL; proud great-grandmother to Timothy, Lily and Serenity; dear nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL. In celebration of her life, funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Irwin Chapel. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen carbon, IL. Memorial donations may be given to the Kidney Foundation and donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel.
