She was born March 7, 1956 in Kountze, Texas to the late Barney Franklin Smith Jr. and Betty Isbell Smith.</p> <p class="ydp7ba216d0MsoNormal">Vickie married her husband Floyd Bennice Currie Jr. on June 14, 1975 and they had three daughters together. She enjoyed many hobbies including crafting, coloring, doing word search puzzles, and going to the casino to gamble. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, Granny, Mimi, and friend. Vickie will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.</p> <p class="ydp7ba216d0MsoNormal">She is preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Sue Smith and Margaret Hooks.</p> <p class="ydp7ba216d0MsoNormal">Vickie is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Floyd Bennice Currie Jr.; daughters, Kimberly Sallas and husband Jessie, Brandy Kruzan and husband John, Margie Pinkley and husband Chad; brother, William Charles Smith; sisters, Stacey Kruzan, Delia Riley and husband Sherman; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.</p> <p class="ydp7ba216d0MsoNormal">Funeral services will be held at 2PM Friday, October 29, 2021 at Farmer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Magnolia Springs Cemetery near Kirbyville. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5-7PM.</p> <div>&nbsp;</div> </div>

Vickie Marie Currie, 65, passed away Monday, October, 25, 2021. She was born March 7, 1956 in Kountze, Texas to the late Barney Franklin Smith Jr. and Betty Isbell Smith.

Vickie married her husband Floyd Bennice Currie Jr. on June 14, 1975 and they had three daughters together. She enjoyed many hobbies including crafting, coloring, doing word search puzzles, and going to the casino to gamble. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, Granny, Mimi, and friend. Vickie will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
