A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at New Horizon Church in Church Point for Muriel P. Estes, 82, who passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 12:10 A.M. at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ville Platte. The Family has requested visitation to be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. until time of service at New Horizon Church in Church Point. Survivors include two daughters, Dianne and husband, Todd Reed of Port Barre, Verna and husband, Neil Richard of Sunset; one son, Steven Estes of Church Point and companion, Pam Estes of Branch; one sister, Karen Porter and husband, Dave O’Connell of East Aurora, New York; seven grandchildren, Amie and husband, William Broussard of Higginbotham, Ashley Guidry of Higginbotham, Joshua and wife, Noel Richard of Hammond, Donald and wife, Jesse Estes of Branch, Amanda and husband, Tanner Fontenot of Church Point, Layne Richard of Sunset and Andrea Richard of Sunset; three great-grandchildren, Jace, Kohen and Parker-Kate Richard all of Hammond. Ms. Estes was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Lee Estes; one son-in-law, John Dale Guidry; one great-granddaughter, Scotlyn Richard; her parents, Robert and Betty Porter.
