Mildred Anne Ames, 75, of West Terre Haute, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 in Westridge Healthcare.

She was born March 4, 1946 in Terre Haute to Forest F. Rukes and Bernice E. Hogenson Rukes.

Mildred was a mailroom clerk at Columbia House.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and three sisters.

Mildred is survived by her husband, Curtis W. Ames, whom she married on August 10, 1969; her sons, Robert F. Ames and Curtis W. Ames, Jr.; her daughter, Tammy Ames Porter; brothers, William Rukes and Herb Rukes; her sisters, Frances Joseph and Jennie Crowder. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
