Evelyn "Juanita" Bozarth passed away October 21st, 2021 at 12:00pm and has now joined her Lord and Saviour and the love of her life Basil.  Juanita was born March 26th, 1935, in Noxapater, Mississippi to Clifton and Gladys Suttle.  She was one of four daughters.  After her high school graduation her parents moved the family to Flagstaff, Arizona where Juanita attended college, worked as a switchboard operator and met Basil. 

   On November 8th, 1958 she and Basil went to Las Vegas and got married in the Little Church of the West. Thus began a 56 year adventure filled with love, laughter and some tears.  In December of 1963, Basil and Juanita moved their now family of two young sons to northwest Montana.  They lived in Warland and old Rexford before the valley became Lake Koocanusa.  While there, Juanita was a teacher’s aide at the Rexford School.

   After moving to Eureka, Basil and Juanita purchased Eureka Auto Supply.  Juanita worked side by side with Basil helping run the business, pumping gas, doing the books and greeting customers with a twinkle in her eye, southern accent and warm smile.  In 1967, they were blessed with the arrival of their daughter Sandy.

   They sold the business to Wayne and Tami in 1988, after which they took advantage of their new found freedom to do some traveling including Alaska, Hawaii and one memorable trip to California in the 1953 Desoto Basil had restored, and without air conditioning apparently once was enough.

   While not traveling, Juanita was a substitute teacher at the Eureka Schools for many years and also worked at the store at Mariner's Haven.

  Juanita was an avid gardener and was most likely guilty of placing bags of zucchini in unlocked cars.  She grew beautiful flowers including a variety of extraordinary roses which lined the walk at their home.

   Juanita was a life time member of the First Baptist Church, serving as a diaconate, was a member of American Baptist Women and helped at many church functions.  She was a founding member of the Lion’s Den Sports Club and a very dedicated Lions fan.  She also enjoyed being a member of the Garden Club and Home Demonstration Club.

   Basil and Juanita enjoyed the outdoors, camping with family and many special friends, boating on the Boz-Ark and taking "motorhome trips" to athletic events.

   Juanita adored and was adored by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren who lovingly called her Mammie.  She had many fond memories of times spent with them and holiday dinners were always a huge family event enjoyed by all.

   Juanita will be sorely missed by all of us and anyone else whoever had the privilege of knowing her.

   Juanita is survived by her sister Faye Willis, son Wayne (Tami) and son Glenn, daughter Sandy, stepdaughters Susan (Tom) and Janice (Jon), sister-in-law Viola (Howard) and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Basil, sisters Laura Suttle and Joy Byers, nephews Mike Byers and Teddy Willis and best friend Betty Peltier.
