JoAnn Lynn Singkofer

JoAnn L. (Diedrick) Singkofer, age 75, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021. JoAnn was born January 31, 1946, to William and Vernice (Hudson) Diedrick. She graduated from Milton Union High School in 1964, and married James R. Singkofer on May 14, 1965. Together they raised 3 sons, Richard, Michael, and Robert. JoAnn was employed at ShopKo in Janesville, WI for over 15 years before retirement. JoAnn enjoyed knitting, crocheting, supporting her children’s sporting events, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

JoAnn is survived by her brother, William (Mary Jo) Diedrick; sons, Michael (Julie), and Robert (Heather) Singkofer; grandchildren: Megann (RJ) Hillen, Arika, Lynsey, Arron, and Derek Singkofer, Jacob and Lauren Shilts, and Kayla Singkofer; great-grandchildren, Payton Singkofer and Lily White; former daughter-in-law, Brenda Lyons; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; son, Richard; brother, Thomas Diedrick; and sister, Vicki (Frederick) Severt.

JoAnn was a very caring and selfless person, who often put the needs of others before her own. She was “grandma” and a good friend to many, and will be dearly missed. The Singkofer family would also like to sincerely thank JoAnn’s dear friend Deb Dabson for being with her and supporting her for the past several years.

In keeping with her wishes, there are no plans for a memorial service.
