Mildred Seltz

Mildred “Millie” DeHaan Seltz, 96, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021, in Des Moines. A private burial will take place at Iowa Veteran’s Cemetery in Adel on Friday, October 29, 2021. Millie was born July 28, 1925 in St. Paul, MN., to Frederick and Marion (Greene) DeHaan. She attended Humboldt High School in St. Paul and graduated from Drake University in 1979. She married Paul Seltz on August 16, 1947. Throughout her lifetime, Millie enjoyed bridge, travel, reading, needlework, knitting and was a sports fan. She enjoyed her Bible class group, investment group, entertaining and spending time with her many groups of friends and loved ones. Millie is survived by her son, Rusty (Dee) Seltz of Kloster, Denmark, daughter , Kathy Lantz of Hartford, CT, daughter, Karen Seltz of Des Moines, IA and daughter Sandy (Tim) McClelland of West Des Moines, IA; grandchildren, Justin (Meghan) Lone, Sara (Steve) Gresh, Cole (Jenna) McClelland, Molly (Adam McElderry) McClelland, Maggie McClelland; great- grandchildren, Hudson Gresh, Stella Gresh, Ben Lone, Will Lone: as well as many nieces, nephews and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her Husband Paul, Parents Frederick and Marion DeHaan and Brother and Sister-in-Law Donald and Blanche DeHaan. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am Friday, October 29, 2021, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Urbandale. The service will be livestreamed at gdlc.tv. Contributions can be made to Mt.
