Richard H. "Dick" George

<p><strong>On Sunday, October 24, 2021, Dick George passed away at his Mt Lebanon home with his devoted family at his side.&nbsp; Spanning a course of over 101 years, Dick enjoyed a full life.&nbsp; Railroading was his passion, holding various Sales and Marketing position with the Pennsylvania Railroad, The Delaware &amp; Hudson Railroad, and finishing his career with the Pittsburgh &amp; Lake Erie in Pittsburgh.&nbsp; His lengthy railroad career was preceded by years of enjoying and studying Interurbans in Indiana and time spent as a First Lieutenant in the Army, providing logistics support during WW2, a role he was most proud of.&nbsp; Dick was also an avid traveler enjoying train rides, sailings on ocean liners, and daily strolls.&nbsp; Dick was a regular volunteer at Christ United Methodist Church in Bethel Park. &nbsp;&nbsp;He and Lois were also very fond of entertaining his many friends, family, and loved ones at the Duquesne Club over the many years that he resided in Pittsburgh.&nbsp; Dick will be buried at a family plot in his hometown of Indianapolis.&nbsp; Dick the husband of Lois, the brother of David George, the father of Richard, Robert, and Carolyn, the Grandfather of seven, and Great Grandfather of two with another on the way.&nbsp; A memorial service will be held in&nbsp;Christ United Methodist Church on Saturday November 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM, with a reception to follow.&nbsp;&nbsp;Memorial contributions&nbsp;may be made to Prime Time @ Christ United Methodist Church 44 Highland Road Bethel Park, PA 15102.</strong></p>
