Lola Mae Brown Obituary

Lola M. Brown, 74-year-old Vinita resident, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 16, 1947, in Vinita to Lee and Caroline (Ashworth) Peetoom. Lola attended school in Vinita, she married Louis Brown in November of 1971.The lived in many states, including, Alabama, Tennessee, Kansas and Iowa, before coming back to settle in Oklahoma over 30 years ago. Lola worked in house cleaning at motels, and as a nurse, but her main job was wife and mother. She loved to fish, play bingo, listen to gospel music, being outdoors, and tending her flower garden. She was a hard worker, great mother and wife and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Bobby Perry. The family includes, her husband Louis of the home, children, William Harden and wife Sherry of Tennessee, Lola Faye Collins of Welch, Carol Ann Howard and husband Ed of Florida, Tina Huckabee and husband Cain of Grove, siblings, Julia Loter of Springfield, MO, Carol Johnson of Chetopa, Darlene, and Harold Dubois of Arkansas, twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
