<p>Saskiw, Orest</p> <p>July 25, 1942 - October 19, 2021</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>It is with deep sadness the family announce the passing of Orest on October 19, 2021 at the age of 79 years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary; his children Douglas and Colleen; grandchildren T.J., Ashlee, Jennifer (Justin), Miranda, Jordan; 7 great grandchildren; sister Lorraine; and Aunt Olga. He obtained his sheet metal certificate and made his career in construction. Family was very important to him and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. In 2000, he was given the gift of life with a heart transplant. He was very involved with the Canadian Transplant Association of Canada and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was predeceased by his mother Mary, father Alex and brother Jerry.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, 602 Boychuk Drive with Rite of Committal to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to C.T.A.&nbsp; No covid restrictions,&nbsp;masks are mandatory.&nbsp; Arrangements in care of David Polzen- Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306)978-5200</p>
