James “Jim” Byrnes
age 73, of Murrysville passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021.  Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Paulette (Whalen) Byrnes and also his loving extended family. Jim served in the Army’s 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles as a sergeant during the Vietnam War.  He was highly decorated earning 2 Purple Hearts, 2 Bronze Stars and 3 Meritorious Medals for his outstanding commitment and service. Jim was a huge Disney fan who also enjoyed trains, sci-fi, hockey, and most of all being with friends and having fun!  Jim lived life to its fullest despite the many medical challenges he faced along the way. Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 27th  from 4pm to 8pm at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC (Monroeville/Plum Chapel) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville  (412-856-4747) where a blessing service will be Thursday, October 28, 10:30am followed by a presentation of Military Honors.
