Jesse Herbert Carter

Mr. Jesse Herbert Carter, 56, died suddenly Wednesday (October 20, 2021) at his residence. He was born in Douglas, but he lived most of his life in Ware County. Jesse was a former employee of Pitts logging. He loved the Lord, loved to fish and spending time with his family and friends. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Earnestine Waters Carter; and his fur babies, Precious Nicole, Molly Ann and Panda Bear. Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Lynn Whitley of Waycross; one son, Herbert Ethan Carter; two fur babies, Trouble Michell and Georgia; two sisters, Jessica Hudson (David), Annette Sowell (Gary); one brother, Christopher Carter; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frankie and Dorothy Whitley; sister-in-law, Renee Berry (Ronnie); three brothers-in-law, Perry Mixon (Rachel), Richard Mixon and Leon Whitley (Teresa); nieces, Caitlyn, Hailey, Lydia, Korre, Little Jessica, Mackenzie, Emily, and Laken; nephews, Spencer, Quinn, Jonas, Silas, Sammy, Nicky, Landon and Josh; great nieces, Madalynn, Jade and Madison; great nephews, Jace, Bryand and Alex; uncle Carl Carter (Ranell); aunt, Joan Barnes (Jack); special friends, Rusty Bennett, Joe Sheppard, Dan Simpson and Kevin Baker; numerous cousins and other relatives. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday (October 24, 2021) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel.
