Wayne A. Embry, Jr., age 54 of Shelton, died at the Norwalk Hospital on October 20, 2021 after a long and strong battle of cancer.  Wayne was born in Norwalk on July 12, 1967, the son of Wayne Embry, Sr. and Sandra (Krausse) Embry.  Wayne attended Norwalk schools and worked for many years as a painter.  He played high school football and baseball and later played in men’s softball leagues.  He was a former member of the Ischoda Yacht Club and loved fishing and boating.  Wayne loved his family dearly and always looked forward to family parties and hanging out with his dogs.

     In addition to his parents, Wayne is survived by his fiancé and love of his life Julie Camerota, her children Nicholas DelMonte (Ashley), Michael DelMonte (Megan) and Jack Davis (Maria) and grandchild Addison DelMonte, who knew Wayne as “Pops”.  Wayne is also survived by his loving siblings David Embry (Kim), Kim Embry (Jackie), and Shannon Embry Sherwood (David), his niece Paige Embry, nephews John Embry Sligo and Cole Embry, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

     Wayne’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Saturday, October 30 from 1-4 PM with a memorial service at 3 PM.
