During the evening of October 17, 2021, Merilee Holgate Bloomfield, passed away peacefully in her home, in Kirtland, NM, at the age of 64.  Merilee was born in Houston, TX on July 31, 1957 to Delos Wimberly & Elizabeth Holloway.  She was adopted at 3 days old by her parents, Leon & Mazie Holgate.  Merilee was the beloved wife, of Gary Lee Bloomfield.  They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti Utah Temple on September 2, 1977 and enjoyed 44 wonderful years together.  Merilee was the beloved mother of 5 children, Katia Lee Bloomfield (Deceased), Kailee Mae (Cory James), Nicholas G. (Sunshine Touchin), Noel M. (Dustin Parsons) & Aurora Ocean (Lenard McKenzie).  She was the beloved grandmother of 8 grandchildren, Katie McKenna Parsons, Jamie Lynn Parsons, Corbin Dustin Parsons, Macy Lee Parsons, Tanner Ray James, Aiden Cory James, Mearon Jay McKenzie, & London Belle McKenzie.  She was the beloved sister to Jim (Diane) Holgate, Gary (Lisa) Wimberly, Sherry (Patrick) Krepps.  Merilee was preceded in death by her parents, Leon & Mazie Holgate & her first child, Katia Bloomfield.  Merilee was a genuine, compassionate person, who loved to serve others and actively participated in the many aspects of the lives of her siblings, children and grandchildren.  She was a life-long, faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, who actively participated, by holding numerous service-related callings.  Merilee was a Disney fanatic, and her most cherished moments in life were spent with her family in numerous family gatherings, and on numerous family vacations to Disneyland and Disney World.  Everyone who had the privilege and blessing of knowing her, know how special she was, and how much she will be missed, a truly genuine person in a fallen world.  

Her viewing will take place on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 @ 8:30 AM (Family only), followed by her funeral service @ 10:00 AM, at the Old Kirtland LDS Chapel, located at 473 CR 6100, Kirtland, NM; and will then be laid to rest at the Kirtland/Fruitland Cemetery.
