James Leonard Bailey Jr., 57, of Clarksburg, passed away unexpectedly on October 18, 2021. He was born in Clarksburg to the late James Bailey Sr. and Ruby Davison. James is also preceded in death by his daughter Cassandra Jo Cecilia (Miller) Bailey, and brother John Wesley Bailey. James is survived by his children James Bailey III and partner Alisha Demeeester, Kimberly and Jess Morris, and Richard Bailey of Clarksburg, Justin Norris of South Carolina, and Johnnie Marie Bailey-Briggs of Flemington; grandchildren James Bailey IV and Shayla of Clarksburg, Champaigne Bailey of Good Hope, Austin Koch of Mt. Clare, Dakota Bailey and Cheyanne Bailey both of Stonewood, Lawrence Martin and Abigail Martin of Clarksburg, Kadence Bailey, Maddison Rose, and Brendon Bailey of Bridgeport. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren Bryce Jackson and Raelynn Bailey. James has four surviving sisters, Debra McCord, Francis and Bob Cain of Brownton, WV, Dawn Golden Senne of Parkersburg, and Ruby Dolph of New York. James was a tow truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, listening to country music, and spending time with his family. Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home, Shinnston on Thursday October 21 from 11:00am-1:00pm, with a funeral service at 1:00. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park.
