<p>Peter Foster Pell, age 49, passed away peacefully at his home in Plainfield, IL on Saturday October 16, 2021. He was surround by his wife, daughter, and special friends, Beth Balanik Wade, who helped care for Peter, and Steve Simpson.</p> <p>Survived by his loving wife Jennifer (Brozek) Pell; daughter Lauren Elise Pell; father Timothy (Joanne) Pell; mother Jennie (Frank) Marack; in-laws James and Terri Brozek IV, and brother-in-law Jim Brozek V; aunts and uncles Susan and Jerry Stewart, Jan and Peter Pell Jr., and aunt Martha Forbes; cousins Keith (Coleen) Stewart and their children Sean and Michael, Scott (Laura) Stewart and their children Ryan and Sara, and Natalie Coleman and Scot Forbes.</p> <p>Peter was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Peter and Lucille Pell Sr.; maternal grandparents Edward Foster and June (Carlsey) Kellan, and one aunt Edith Pakitsos.</p> <p>Peter was born in Elmhurst, IL and grew up in Hanover Park and Lombard. He graduated from Elgin High School and went on to attend College of DuPage and North Central College where he played on the basketball team. He was employed as the General Manager for the Holiday Inn & Suites in Carol Stream, Illinois for over 25 years. Peter loved the game of softball and enjoyed coaching Lauren’s softball teams from the time she was in Tee Ball until she reached high school. Peter was passionate about other sports, and he enjoyed football, basketball, and golfing with his friends. He was also an avid Cub’s fan.</p> <p>Visitation will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 4-7:30 pm at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life at 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family and Lauren’s college fund would be appreciated by the family.</p>Obituary
