Funeral services for Mr. Charles Preston Adams, age 69, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Dusty Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Adams, a retired employee of International Paper Company and Texas Gas Company, passed away October 15, 2021 at Glenwood Hospital. He was a pipeline inspector, an avid hunter and fisherman and loved weight lifting. He once won a power lifting meet at Goudeau’s Family Fitness Center in Monroe, LA. He loved spending time with friends and family. Mr. Adams is survived by his mother, Earline Adams; numerous cousins, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Lynburg Adams; and grandparents, Preston and Sylvia Murray. Serving as pallbearers are: Dan Higginbothem, Spencer Herrington, Monty Shockey, Charles Atlas, Joe Johnson, Lester Johnson.
