Kathleen O'Leary Halacy

AUBURN – Mrs. Kathleen O’Leary Halacy, 69, died Thursday October 14, 2021 at the Central Maine Medical in Lewiston. surrounded by her loved ones. She was a resident of Allain Street in Auburn. Born in Rumford, ME on June 21, 1952 she was a daughter of Gordon and Lucille (Belanger) O’Leary. Kathleen was a graduate of Rumford High School and CMVTI School of Nursing. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Clover Manor Nursing Home and enjoyed traveling to casinos. She was married in Rumford, ME on May 29, 1971 to Elliott Halacy who survives of Auburn. Other survivors include her daughter, Janice LeBlond of Auburn, son, Jason Halacy and companion Sandra Ridley of Lewiston, two brothers, Daniel O’Leary and wife Martha of Andover and Mark O’Leary and wife Janice of Fort Pierce, FL, four sisters, Christine Dube and husband Ron of Roxbury Pond, Joanne Culley of Cummings, GA, Susan Blake and husband Mike of Standish, ME and Maureen Hassett and husband Steve of Brunswick, ME, grandchildren, Zackary LeBlond, Dustin Pepin, Skye Lagasse, Jaylynn Halacy, Renezmay Baize, great-granddaughter Chloe Hamel, many nieces and nephews, special friends Randy Clark, George and Cheryl Hebert, Duncan and Kathy Webster and Roger and Jan Lowell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday October 23, 2021 at the Parish of the Holy Savior St Athanasius St John Church 126 Maine Ave in Rumford. At the request of the family, masks will be required. Interment will be in the Abbotts Mill Cemetery in Rumford.
