Georgia Turnage Price

Mrs. Georgia Turnage Price, 86, died Sunday, October 17, 2021. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM in Pinewood Memorial Park with Rev. Stan Wingard officiating. Georgia, a native of Greene County, had lived most of her life in Pitt County and was employed with Burroughs-Wellcome Pharmaceutical for 22 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Eastern Star #149 in Greenville and was also a Shrinette with the Pitt County Shrine Club. She was also a member of Red Oak Christian Church. Georgia was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Rouse Cannon; son, Marvin Earl Rouse; husband, Orville Lee Price; grandson, John David Cannon; and brothers, Mack and Marvin Turnage. She is survived by her sons, Eugene Rouse, Robert Rouse & Wife, Sandra, and Steve Rouse, all of Ayden; daughters, Louise Rouse O’Neal of Ayden and Teresa Rouse Harrell of Greenville; sisters, Mary Stallings and Shirley Head and husband, Jimmy, both of Snow Hill; 20 grandchildren; and a number of loving great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, C/O Sudan Temple, 403 E.
