Darryl P. Sahadi, 72, of Sylvania, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021. He was born in Toledo to Philip and Evelyn (Wallace) Sahadi on November 24, 1948. Darryl grew up in Point Place and attended Central Catholic High School, followed by the University of Toledo. He was an excellent scholar; he had a thirst for knowledge. Darryl excelled in chemistry which led him to pursue a career with Owens-Illinois as a chemist. His job took him all over, including living in Orange, TX and Lynchburg, VA. He later excused himself from his career to assist his father in running the family business, Colonial Cleaners. Darryl had an outgoing personality. He loved being around people and making them laugh. As an avid sports fan, Darryl followed Ohio State football and partook in a bowling league for many years. He enjoyed fishing and boating, and entertaining guests. Darryl is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marsha Sahadi; son, Bryan Sahadi; brothers, Rick (Nancy) Sahadi, Gary (Suzi) Sahadi; nieces and nephews, Jenny (Jeff) Hall, Julie (Jeremy) DeArmon, Jason Sahadi, Kyle Sahadi, Logan Sahadi; many cousins and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one aunt; and two uncles. Friends will be received on Monday, October 18, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH (419-841-2422), where a Scripture Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5373 Main Street, Sylvania, OH. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial donations in Darryl’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 W.
