John W. DeBlois, 70, a retired carpenter passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at the Kent Hospital in Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Eileen P. (O’Connell) DeBlois. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Robert F. and Irene M. (Wylie) DeBlois. John was the loving stepfather of Regan A. Pennypacker (John) and Kate M. Biltcliffe (Josh). He was the brother of Peter R. DeBlois (Kathy), Christopher J. DeBlois (Diane), Joseph A. DeBlois, Richard H. DeBlois (Karen), Roland M. DeBlois (Susan), Roberta M. Calabro (Guy), Regina L. Crisostomi (Peter) and Reneé F. DeBlois. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. John was a Marine Veteran of the Vietnam War and recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry and Combat Action Ribbon. His funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 11am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Burial with Military Honors will be in the RI Veteran Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Monday 4-7pm.
