James Donald Allen Sr, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021.

James was born in Indianapolis, IN on July 12, 1955 to Paul and Phyllis (Clark) Allen. He was a talented mechanic and could drive anything with wheels.   He was very handy.  James was a straight shooter, he was always very forward with his opinions. He liked things his way and was very stubborn.  James loved to joke around and make people laugh and gave great nicknames as a sign of affection to those he cared about. 

James is survived by his children Angel (Shennon) Koontz, Jamie (Mitchell) Yarnell, and James (Tonya) Allen Jr; sister Stephanie; his grandchildren Elizabeth, Kristeiry, Zachary, Shawn, Timothy, Destiny, Ruby, David Jr, Anna, Savannah, Makayla, Shennon, Aubrey, and Robert; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

James is preceded in passing by his wife of 41 years, Delores Allen; his parents Paul and Phyllis Allen; brothers John, Sam, Michael, Steven; his granddaughter Alice. 

Services for James will be 1 PM, Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM, Monday, October 18, 2021 at the funeral home.
