Joyce Campbell Obituary

Ms. Joyce “Elaine” Campbell of Thonotosassa, FL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 14, 2021. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, October 30, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Riverhills Church of God, 6310 E Sligh Avenue, Tampa, FL  33617 with Pastor Ryan Sharpe, officiating. (MASK RECOMMENDED)  Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ms. Joyce Campbell was born Monday, August 29, 1960 to Rosie Mae Hills and Christopher Columbus Shaw, Sr.

She was a resident of Tampa for 50 years and worked for the Hillsborough County Government as an Associate for 27 years at various parks and recreation facilities. Her favorite quote was “Everything Happens in God’s Will”. Ms. Campbell attended King High School.

She was preceded in death by: her mother, Rosie Mae Hills; father, Christopher Columbus Shaw, Sr.; sister, Alesia Williams; and brother, Columbus Shaw, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Qiana Jackson and Nikki Pease; son, Joseph Campbell; three grandchildren, Vinyana Mcelroy, Jasmine Mcelroy and Iziah Campbell; two great grandchildren, Jania Davis and Valencia Ball; two sisters, Barbara Shaw-Stillings and Annette Baldwin; two brothers, Kenneth Sconious and Calvin Reid; son-in-law, Carlton Pease; daughter-in-law, Ashley Campbell; brother-in-law, Howard Stillings; eleven nieces and nephews; eighteen great nieces and nephews; very close dear friend, Mary Baldwin; and all her close friends, colleagues, church family and close cousin, Leon Stewart.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Riverhills Church of God, 6310 E. Sligh Avenue, Tampa, FL 33617. (MASK RECOMMENDED)
