Marian Louise (Meyer) Kehr, age 98, of Meadville, went to the Lord, October 14, 2021, in her sleep at her home.

Services will be Sunday, October 17, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield with Pastor Leon Bryant and Pastor Rex Leppin officiating.  Burial will be in Meadville Cemetery in Meadville. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Marian Louise, daughter of Adolph and Velma (Weddle) Meyer, was born May 6, 1923, near Emma, Missouri. On March 25, 1951, she married Henry Kehr who preceded her in death on September 29, 1998.

Marian was a graduate of Sweet Springs High School in 1941 and Central Missouri University in 1950.  She taught several years, mainly at Concordia and Brookfield.  She was a member of the Wheeling Christian Church and a past member of Mothers’ Club. Marian was the quintessential homemaker and family caregiver, preparing meals and yummy desserts from scratch, with the produce of a garden akin to a truck farm.  In 2000, Marian and her long-time friend and colleague joined a group tour and traveled to northern Europe, highlighted by a performance of the Passion Play in Oberammergav, Germany.

Survivors include three children, John (Deborah) Kehr, Mary Kehr, and Ralph (Brenda) Kehr all of Meadville; three grandchildren, Tina (Brian) Wheeler of Parkville, Tony (Beth Ann) Kehr of Shelby and Tim (Shawna) Kehr of Springfield; two step-grandchildren, Stacy (Steve) Kinstler of Kearney and Randy (Kristen) Mendenhall of Oregon, Missouri; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents and one grandson, Scott Kehr preceded her in death.
