Theodore (Ted) Czajkowski, age 81, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021, after a long journey with Alzheimer’s Disease. He is survived by his wife, LaRue and his daughter, Kate. Ted was a lifelong educator and served as the Assistant Superintendent of Bellingham Schools for many years. Once retired, he returned to the classroom as a professor at Western Washington University. Ted was an avid collector of antique tools, a generous caregiver for his wife and a lover of wildlife who helped sustain the deer and birds of Alabama Hill. His legacy lives on in the tiny acts of kindness that were his daily practice. He carried dog biscuits in his pocket and gave money to strangers. He had an enormous heart. There will be a celebration of Ted’s life at the Squalicum Boathouse on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 4:00-5:30 PM. Drop by and enjoy some light refreshments. It will be a casual affair, but please bring your mask. In lieu of flowers, Theodore’s  family asks that donations be made to Whatcom Humane Society, 2172 Division Street, Bellingham, WA 98226.
