Norma Jean Shellito, nee Dale, age 83, of Cahokia, IL, formerly of Rincon, GA, died on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Liberty Village, Maryville, IL.

Norma was a former member of the Cahokia Homemakers Club. She liked to do crafts, crochet, the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues. Norma worked as a housekeeper at Parks College in Cahokia, Gulfstream Aviation and Georgia Pacific Paper Mills.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph W. Shellito; a son, Jerry Lucas; 2 stepsons, Ralph “Wally” Shellito, III and William “Danny” Shellito; her parents, Delbert and Ovalee, nee Morris, Dale; and a half-sister, Thelma Cooper.

Surviving are her children, Carla (Ralph) Underwood of Highland, IL and Cathy (Richard) Domzalski of Belleville, IL; her stepchildren, Susan Duchnowski Hall of O’Fallon, IL and Eugene “Gene” (Linda) Shellito of Charleston, SC; her half-sisters, Linda Smith and Sharon Forbes; and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.  

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
