Kenneth Walker

Kenneth Walker, 80, Minot, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at a Minot hospital.  Ken was born on April 9, 1941 in Minot to William and Myrtle (Indahl) Walker. He was raised and educated in Surrey, ND.  After he finished with school, Ken moved to Minot, where he worked for the Parker Hotel as a bellhop. He was then employed by the Motor Service Company as a parts runner for many years. When they closed, Ken worked for General Trading until he retired.  Ken was an avid fan of the Minot Minotauros as well as a fan of UND hockey. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his nieces, nephews, and their children. Ken will be long remembered for the many parakeets he had throughout his lifetime.  Ken is survived by his brother, George (Linda) Walker, Minot; nephews, Monte (Marchell), Shaun, Jon (Lesley), and Jamie Walker, and Ernie (Rhonda) and Brian (Sue) George; nieces, Darla (Jeff) Muralt, Lynn (Jeff) Tuttle, and Pam George; grand-nieces and nephews, Lacey (Taylor) Stenvold, Dalton, Brianna, Caleb, Callie, and Briley Walker, Tyler (Krystina) and Ryen Muralt, Daniell (Derek) Evers, Nicole (Jeff) Tarrant, Laicy Falstad, and Angela (Jeremy) Benjamin; and other extended family.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Marvin and Jim; sister, Audrey; nephew, Kenny Falstad; and numerous aunts and uncles.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Minot. The service will be livestreamed for the public to view and can be accessed by going to <a href="http://www.bethanylutheranminot.org">www.bethanylutheranminot.org</a> Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Minot. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 17 from 2-4 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in Minot.
