Doris Ann Underwood age 79 of Loudon passed away October 12, 2021. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Doris was a former employee of Riverside T Restaurant and Charles H. Bacon Hosiery Mill. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. Preceded in death by her husband, Earl Leon Underwood; sons, David L. Underwood and Walter B. Underwood;; daughter, Donna E. Underwood Purdy; parents, Rufus Cheatham and Margaret Hicks Cheatham; sisters, Thelma Brown, Sharon Cheatham and Linda Russell; brothers, John E. Cheatham and infant brother, Rufus Cheatham Jr.; niece, Teresa McKee and nephew, John Cheatham, Jr. Survived by her sons, John Underwood and Douglas Underwood; daughter, Teresa Hardin; grandsons: Joshua Underwood, Nathan Underwood, Matthew Underwood (Cali), Jordan Hardin, Daniel Hardin, James Williams, Chris Dailey (Tabitha) and Paul Dailey (Joy); granddaughters: Brittney Bible (Randall), Misty Kelso (Chris), Cassidy Edwards (Edward); great-grandchildren: Kaleah, Messiah, Arabella, Antwaan, Donovan, Aiden, Oakland, Neyland, Autumn, Paul Jr., Luke, Danica, Elijah, Kylie, Jace, Aaliyah, Arianna and Kortlynn; sisters, Martha Hammontree, Mini Jane Fougerousse, Deborah Fleshman and Janice Curl and a multitude of nieces, nephews that she loved more than life itself. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 17th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jeremy Galyon officiating. We will then proceed to the Loudon County Memorial Gardens for graveside services.
