Ellen Latane Thomas, 68 of Baxter, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center surrounded by her family.

She was the daughter of the late Alphus and Eula Mae Gambrell Dunn.

Latane was the wife of Lynn Thomas for over 20 years.

Latane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved going to the beach, attending, and watching NASCAR and the UT Vols. She also enjoyed singing karaoke. Latane lived for her grandchildren and despite her disability, she had a zest for life.

In addition to her husband Lynn, she is survived by

2 daughters

Misty (Jason) Carr of Baxter

Stefanie Janko of Cookeville

5 grandchildren

Blaine and Haley Carr, Michael Foster, Lucas Janko, and Robert Thomas

4 brothers and 2 sisters

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Latane was preceded in death by

3 precious sons,

Chuck and Kevin Foster, and Stacy Thomas

2 brothers

Dewey and Joel Dunn

Pallbearers will be family.

A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday October 16, 2021 at Presley Funeral Home located at 695 Buffalo Valley Road Cookeville, Tennessee 38501. Interment will follow at Dobbs Cemetery.

The family will receive family and friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 15, 2021, and again on Saturday, Oct 16, 2021, from 12:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm.
