Norma J. Brown

<p>Norma J. Brown, 55, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 14, 2021, with her family by her side.&nbsp; She was born on March 29, 1966 to the late Anna DeSpain in Louisville, Kentucky.&nbsp; Norma was a wonderful and giving mother, grandma, sister and daughter-in-law. Family was very important to Norma. She was loving and kindhearted and always enjoyed cooking for the family gatherings on Sunday&rsquo;s and Christmas. &nbsp;She was a private, hardworking, independent and very honest person.&nbsp; Norma was especially proud of the hard work and dedication it took to start her own business, 1st Choice Insulation in Louisville, Kentucky.&nbsp; In her spare time, Norma enjoyed watching her UofL Cardinals play, listening to good music, going to the beaches in Aruba, or just cooking out and telling stories with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.</p> <p>Norma is preceded in death by her mother, Anna Taylor DeSpain.</p> <p>Left to cherish her memory, Norma leaves behind 2 sons, Keith Brown Sr. (Sasha) and Craig Brown Sr. (Zatalya Hamilton); 3 siblings, Terry Ann Mitchell, Artie Mitchell, and Tammy Carrico; 6 grandchildren, DeMarcus Young, DeMari Young, Keith Brown Jr., Karter Brown, Craig Brown Jr., and Zayn Hamilton; stepfather, Larry DeSpain; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, work family and the Brown/Randle family in Martin, Tennessee.</p> <p>A funeral service for Mrs. Norma J. Brown will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 12 PM at Legacy Funeral Center-Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Blvd., Louisville, Kentucky 40215 with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 1 PM to 8 PM, at the funeral home.</p>
