Edward Anthony Werda, 58, of Alpena passed away Monday, October 11, 2021, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac.

Edward was born on August 17, 1963, in Alpena to John and Phyllis (Bryant) Werda. He served in the United States Army. Ed was an avid Detroit Lions fan.

Surviving are his daughter, Allison (Adam) Roper; two granddaughters, Amelia, Charlotte; mother, Phyllis (Patrick) Klee; three sisters, Cathy Werda, Cindy (Ted) Johnson, Jackie (Bob) Richards; two brothers, Jeffery Werda, Jason Werda; brother-in-law, Randy Frank; several nieces and nephews; and his cat, Princess.

Mr. Werda was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Werda; father, John Werda; and sister, Christine Frank.

A memorial will take place at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
