Jae Jean Pollock

Mrs. Jae Jean Whitley Pollock, age 62, passed away October 13, 2021, at Lenoir UNC Hospital. A native of Wake County, she was the daughter of Jacob Oliver and Dorris Jean Crabtree Whitley. She was a member of the New Direction Church in Snow Hill and The North Carolina Lighthouse Christian Riders Chapter 203 of Greenville. Jae retired from the Greene County Schools following a full career as a teacher. Following retirement, she volunteered at the Greene County Interfaith and enjoyed spending time with her family, riding motorcycles, traveling, and boating. Her surviving family includes her husband, Ben Pollock; sons, Justin Whitley Pollock and wife, Jennifer of Snow Hill, and Benjamin Bryan Pollock of Waltham, MA; a sister, Tanya Twichell of Oriental; and grandchildren, Lillian Pollock, Briar Rose Pollock and Bella Grace Pollock, all of Snow Hill. Funeral services will be held 6:00 PM Sunday, October 17th, at Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service Chapel with Reverend Mathew Galloway and Reverend Percy Cunningham officiating. Committal services will be 11:00 AM Monday, at the Snow Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday and other times at the family residence.
