Amanda Fontaine Collins, daughter of Robert B. Collins, Sr. and Suzette Fontaine Collins of Westfield, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at her home in Swanton, VT. Born in Holyoke, MA, she attended Holyoke schools and went on to graduate from Champlain College and Trinity College. Amanda worked at IBM for several years, and was most recently a volunteer at her church and food pantry. She loved gardening, cooking (especially her Nana Jo’s chile), and reading. Amanda is survived by her parents, Suzette and Bob; son and daughter, Robert and Carly Bannister; “Grandies:” Ry and Ben; brother, Robert his wife Sharon and children: Ashley, Jacob and Joel; lifelong partner, Ray Lamore and children Brandy and Bradley; and uncle, Attorney Anthony Collins and children Brendan and Shane. She was predeceased by her grandparents, George E. and Fern Fontaine, and Jo and Joseph Collins. Amanda will always be remembered for her infectious laughter and warm heart. A Funeral Service will be held for Amanda on Saturday, October 16 at 11:00 am at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, MA, followed by burial in Saint Rose de Lima Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA. Calling hours will be held prior to the service beginning at 9:30 am.
