<p>On October 12, 2021 at 2:15am, Elizabeth Ann Walker was finally allowed and welcomed to stand in the presence of, and see the face of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.</p> <p>&ldquo;Liz&rdquo;, as she was known, was born to the union of Charles Emmitt Harrell and Thelma Harrell on January 16, 1941 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.&nbsp; She was the oldest of three children that this marriage was blessed with: Charles Harrell and Brenda Kay Harrell.&nbsp;</p> <p>Liz graduated from Central High School and then attended Baton Rouge Business College.&nbsp; She worked at General Chemical where she met her future husband Billy Ray Walker.&nbsp; They were married in November of 1961 and were blessed with three children.</p> <p>Liz was called to ministry, to spread the good news of God&rsquo;s plan of salvation to all.&nbsp; She was ordained a minister in the Assembly of God Church.&nbsp; She faithfully served our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ until her death.</p> <p>Liz and her husband were commercial farmers and owners of B&amp;L Farms.&nbsp; She and Bill spent many summer days selling tomato&rsquo;s, vegetables, and Washington Parish watermelons from their home on Devall Road in Central, La.&nbsp; They were also avid travelers and campers and made numerous lifelong friends along the way.&nbsp; They never met a stranger.</p> <p>Liz is survived by her children, Bryan Keith Walker (Linda); Stacey Lynn Blaha (Michael), and Allison Elizabeth Halphen.&nbsp; She is also survived by her grandchildren: Brandon Walker (Brandy), Christopher Walker, Lauren Walker, Jonathan Walker, Cai Blaha, Kade Halphen, Kaleb Halphen, and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.&nbsp; Also, many nieces and nephews and beloved sister-in-law Carolyn Furlow.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Ray Walker, and her parents Charles and Thelma Harrell.</p> <p>The family wishes to thank all who cared for her in her final months.&nbsp; Her brother, Butch Harrell and his wife MaryAnn Harrell and sister Brenda Bankston who provided around the clock care for her.&nbsp; We would also like to thank nurses Hannah, Carmen, and the staff of Hospice of Baton Rouge.</p> <p>Visitation for Liz will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday October 19, 2021 from 9:00am until Funeral Service at 11:00am.&nbsp; Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.&nbsp; Thank you Mom!&nbsp; Not only did you teach us about unconditional love, more importantly, you lived it everyday.&nbsp; We Love you!</p>
