Katherine M. "Kathy" Jones
<p>Mrs. Katherine M. “Kathy” Jones, age 64, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN. She was born March 11, 1957, the daughter of William C. and Mary Laverne (Worth) Wemes. Kathy was a longtime member of New Brandenburg Baptist Church, where she served as treasurer for many years; and also served as a Deputy PVA for Meade County. </p> <p>Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 40 years, Donald A. “Donnie” Jones; and three siblings, Diane Williams, Dale Wemes and Carolyn Lockard. She is survived by two daughters, Beth (Jason) Henderson, and Britney (Andrew) Youart; four grandchildren, Braxton Lee and Benjamin Alan Henderson and Lucy Laverne and Clay Andrew Youart; a very special nephew, Danny (Carol) Williams; four sisters, Jenny (Randall) Hardesty, Patty (Jimmy) Mattingly, Debbie (Rick) Smith, Sherry (Larry) Hardesty; and two brothers, Billy (Linda) Wemes and Jimmy (Beth) Wemes.</p> <p>Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 22, 2021, at the New Brandenburg Baptist Church, with Rev. Tom Bridge and Rev. Tim Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 Noon until 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 21, and from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Friday. Kathy’s family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to New Brandenburg Baptist Church.</p>Obituary
