George M. Alexander

George M. Alexander, 66, of Peasleeville, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at his daughter’s home under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Ticonderoga on May 11, 1955, the son of the late George and Dorothy (Dudley) Alexander. He worked for Agway from 1973-1981 and then went to work for Imperial Wallcoverings as a printer and union president from 1981-1998 when they closed the doors. He then went to Integral Fabrication as a welder from 2000-2006 when they closed. He went to Pactiv in 2007 as a maintenance person until he retired in 2011. His hobbies were hunting and fishing. He was a member of the North Country Bass Anglers until 2020 which he loved and got many trophies. He also was a member of the Phoenix Hunting Club until he became sick and enjoyed it very much. He is survived by his daughter Heather LaPier and her companion Joe Charland and granddaughter Kayla LaPier, his beloved dog Bibbit who stayed by his side until the end and also many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Kimberly, his parents and all of his siblings; brother Douglas Alexander, and sisters Marcella MacFarlane, Gloria Lareau, LaBella Woodick and Lenora Gariepy. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street in Plattsburgh. A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh.
