Norma Lee Miller Obituary

Norma L. Miller, 81 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in Vici. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Janet Fitz officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Norma Lee (Peacock) Pratt Miller was born on December 10, 1939 in Ellis County, Oklahoma to John Edward and Clara America (Woods) Peacock. Norma grew up in Ellis County and attended school there. She graduated from Arnett High School in 1956. She was united in marriage to Jimmy Pratt in April of 1957 in Higgins, Texas. They were blessed with two children, Jimmy Ronald and Cindi Rayann. They made their home in Ellis County.

She was united in marriage to Bev Miller in 1985. Norma worked for the State of Oklahoma and ran a road grater for many years. She later worked for Dollar General and for Akard Florist.

Norma enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything but in her free time she loved needle point, crocheting, sewing pot holders and telling her stories!! She enjoyed making memories come to life and creating new ones with everyone who would giver her a minute of their time. Norma and her daughter Cindi were very much "two peas in a pod" and rarely did you see one without the other. Norma might have said they were each others alibi. To Norma family was everything!!!

She is survived by one daughter, Cindi Shurtz of Woodward; daughter-in-law, Cindy Sue Pratt; step-children, Gail McLain and husband Jerry of Buffalo, Joe Miller and wife Kris of Fairview, Debi Miller and husband Gary of Pryor; Cindi’s dad, Jim Pratt of Lahoma; her grandsons who meant the world to her, Jesse Lee Dalton Pratt, James Ryan Pratt and Haylee, John Bryan Shurtz and wife Tamara, Cody James Pratt and wife Jaylynn, Cole Douglas Pratt and wife Raven; great-grandchildren: Layne and Addy, Brody and Ryan Lyn, Cory, Jayton, Maggie, Moria, Ledger, Sloan, Peyton and Matthew, Mackenzie Persons, Maycie Thomsen and husband Lane, Kooper Coulson; two great-great-grandsons, Colt Haigen and Bridger Dale; special friend Carol Tucker; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bev Miller, step-children, Gary Miller, Janice Lemons, Jerry Miller, son, Ronny Pratt, grandson, Ronald Wayne Shurtz, and son-in-law, Richard Wayne Shurtz.
