On October 10, 2021, Shirley M. Merson, age 76 of Laurel MD, passed away. She was born in Reading PA.  September 7, 1945 to the late Paul S.Gottschall and Jennie M. Baker.  Her beautiful spirit, kind heart, love for animals, and unconditional love will always be cherished by the ones who knew her.  Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband Riley C. Merson and daughter in law Trina White.  Shirley is survived by her children Kenneth E. White, James R. Merson and Lisa A. Ellis (Bill] and daughter in law Donna Schmidt (Rudy), a sister Helen Merson (Pat), a brother Jimmy Yoder (Pam), her Aunt Faye Truitt, five grandchildren; Tinamarie White, Kaylee Merson, Chad, Megan, and Samantha Ellis and eight great grandchildren.  A memorial will be held at a later date.
