Cynthia Marble Tilley, 69, of Lucedale, MS, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in Ocean Springs, MS. She was born on January 26, 1952 to the late V.W. “Bill” Tanner and Alecia Mumme Tanner in Mobile, AL. Cynthia was a devoted teacher for thirty-eight years, working in both Mississippi (East Central Elementary) and Alabama (Semmes Elementary). She was a member of Tanner Williams Assembly of God Church. Cynthia enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to work in her yard. All those that knew and loved Cynthia will miss her. Along with her parents; she is preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Kye Marble, Sr; sister, Yolanda Tanner Johnson. Cynthia is survived by her husband, Oliver “Sonny” Tilley; sons, Charles Kye Marble, Jr., Adam Caleb (Salinas) Marble, and David Seth Marble; sister Susie (Butch) Watson; brother- in-laws Gary Johnson, Kerney (Lisa) Tilley, Kevin (Robin) Tilley; 7 grandchildren; along with other family and friends. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Magnolia Springs Assembly of God Church, 7300 Campground Rd. Moss Point, MS. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Bro. Ronnie Wareham officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Rosedale United Methodist Church Cemetery 25400 Rosedale Church Rd, Lucedale, MS 39452 with Matthew Watson, Jacob Johnson, Chad Odom, Casey Almond, John Marble, Joshua Tilley, Daniel Tilley, and Will Tilley serving as pallbearers. The services for Mrs. Tilley will be Livestreamed.
