Edward Paloyan was born in Paris, France on March 19, 1932, in a Charity Hospital on Rue Amboise Pare to Missak and Takouhi Paloyan. Following his time at the University of Chicago, Ed was Professor of Endocrine Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center and the Associate Chief of Staff for Research and Development at Hines, Veterans Administration Hospital. Ed was a founding member of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons (President 1988) and of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He moved to private practice in endocrine surgery at Hinsdale Hospital in 1994. In 2013, Ed received the Centennial Medallion Award from Hinsdale Hospital for Outstanding Leadership and Achievement.
