Sebastian Torres
<p>Sebastian was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He came to New York and began picking potatoes, and afterwards, he opened up his own businesses which he managed with his brother Jose. For extra income, Sebastian drove yellow taxi cabs for many years. </p> <p>Sebastian married Rosa Colon, bought a house in Brooklyn, NY, and they had four children. They also raised Sebastian Jr (son of Sebastian from an earlier relationship). In the Year of 2003, he moved out of Brooklyn, New York and bought a house here in Philadelphia to live near his daughters and helped raise his grandchildren. As Sebastian aged, he would say "he was number one police officer, yet in all reality, it was his son Israel who became the police officer, but no one took that dream from him. </p> <p>Sebastian's deceased parents were Laura Valencia and Juan Torres. There are four brothers: Juan Luis, Tomas, Jose and Mikey, and there were three sisters Blanca and Ana, and Esther who is deceased. </p> <p>Sebastian loved and leaves four living children, two daughter-in-laws, and one deceased son: Cristina, Rosa, Veronica (the youngest), Israel and his wife Lisa, and one deceased son named Sebastian Jr. who is now reunited with dad again up in Heaven, and Sebastian Jr. widow Margie. </p> <p>Sebastian loved and leaves grandchildren with spouses and great-grandchildren that all called him “Papi.” Grandchildren and spouses: Arlene, Crystal (fiance: Chazz), Heather (husband: Eric), Priscilla (husband: Luis), Andy (fiancee: Shayla), Adam, Isabella, Beyanara, Leonardo, Mia, Ethan, Lauren, Eddie, Isaiah, and Janae. Sebastian loved and leaves five great-grandchildren: Jacob, Nolan, Promise, Darius, Alaina, and he will love future great-grandchildren from above. </p> <p>He was an awesome gentleman, strong, hard working, and with such a huge smile. He impacted many lives in so many ways. He was the most loving, humble, protective amazing hero in all of our lives!</p> <p>Sebastian brought wisdom, happiness, warmth and the biggest one of all was the love for his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those who crossed his path. </p> <p>Sebastian Torres was viewed at Rodriguez Funeral July 22, 2021 - evening and July 23, 2021- Day. </p> <p>Sebastian leaves a legacy of successful children, grandchildren and great-grand children.
