<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Eva G. Armbrust, 89, of Cheswick, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2021. She was born Jan. 11, 1932, in Biano, Italy, to her parents, the late Raffaele and Carolila Maietta Sarno, and has been a lifelong resident of the community. Mrs. Armbrust worked for Giant Eagle for more than 30 years, where she eventually retired. She belonged to St. Alphonsus Church in Springdale, where she was in the choir and with the ladies of charity. Eva enjoyed knitting, baking and cooking, and most importantly spending time with her family. Surviving&nbsp;are her daughters, Tina Basin, of Cheswick, Janet (Brian) Whaley, of Delaware, and Gloria Armbrust, of Erie;&nbsp;brother, Polo Sarno, of New York;&nbsp;grandchildren, Bill, Vincent, Angela, Cristina, Gerard, Allessandro and Dante; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.&nbsp;Besides her parents, Eva was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Armbrust; son, William Armbrust, in 2007, brothers, Americo and Primo; and sister, Gloria Costa.&nbsp;Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until Mass at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801 Pittsburgh St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Alphonsus Church, Guardian Angels Parish.
