Gregory Scott Jones, age 65, of Cherryvale, KS, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021, at Labette Health Center in Parsons, KS. Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions on behalf of the family may be sent to Zach Webb Family Funeral Service, 1475 S. 10th, Independence, KS 67301. Gregory Jones was born August 3, 1956, in French Camp, CA, to LeRoy and Donna (Hagerman) Jones. He grew up in that area and graduated high school in Auburn, CA. He was a maintenance electrician with Spreckle Sugar Co. and Heinz among others. On March 23, 1985, he married Debra Shultz, and she survives. He loved his grandkids, fishing and riding motorcycles. Survivors include: His wife, Debra Jones, Modesto, CA. Two sons, Alan (Gabi) Jones and Andrew Jones, both of Modesto, CA. One brother, Dwayne Wiles, Sacramento, CA. Two grandchildren and neices, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Johnny Jones, and a sister, Cheryl Wetter. The family has entrusted the arrangement of the services to Zach and Dee Webb of locally-owned Zach Webb Family Funeral Service of Independence.Obituary
