<p>It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their matriarch, Laura Rodriguez, who died on 9 October 2021. Laura was born in Isabella Puerto Rico in 1918. The family migrated to New York City (NYC) in 1956. Throughout her 103 years Laura devoted herself to the welfare of the family, foregoing any personal comforts for the benefits of her husband and children. In later life, she accompanied two of her military career daughters to many locations both stateside and overseas, including Panama, Italy, and Germany. While in Europe they visited France, Spain, Andorra, Austria, and Switzerland.</p> <p>Laura loved music and was always singing the songs of her country, but her favorite was Lionel Richie’s “Hello”.</p> <p>Laura was loved by everyone she encountered because of her beautiful smile, kindness, and caring nature.</p> <p>She was a woman of faith and a constant reader of the bible, a truly AMAZING, beautiful woman and mother.</p> <p>Laura was predeceased by her husband Angel, sons Paquito, Emilio, Angel, and Jorge.</p> <p>She is survived by sons Pedro Juan in NYC, Jose Enrique in Puerto Rico, daughters Laura Rosa in NYC, Maria De Los Angeles, of Florida, and Carmen Socorro of California, as well as Grand, Great Grand, and Great, Great children.</p> <p>Services are pending at this time, but internment will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx New York.</p>August 12, 1918 - October 9, 202108/12/191810/09/2021
