James B “Dinky” Burton Jr. (86) of California, KY passed away Tuesday October 5, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence. He was born in Lexington, KY on November 2, 1934 son of the late James and Mary Elizabeth White Burton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Horn Burton, brothers Jerry, James, Edward Burton, half-brothers Clyde, Herman and Hardin Burton, and half-sisters Amy and Mattie Burton. Dinky is survived by his brother Kenneth Burton and sisters Betty Huddleston and Joann Cosby all of Nicholasville, KY. James was a member of Plum Creek Christian Church and trained horses. He was known for finding $30,000.00 in jewelry at J&K and returning the jewelry to the rightful owner. Graveside service will be held 2pm Friday October 15, 2021 at Plum Creek Cemetery in Butler, under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home.
