Frances Geneva Treat

Frances “Granny” Geneva Treat, 83, of Pampa, passed from this life on Monday, October 11, 2021. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Frances was born to Homer and Hazel Chapman in Lela, TX on July 10, 1938. She graduated from Shamrock High School. Frances married the love of her life, Steve Wesley Treat in 1955. Together they had shared a lovely life, two daughters and 59 years of marriage before he passed away. She enjoyed traveling and dancing with her husband. Granny loved taking care of her family especially her grandchildren and her great grandchildren, as she would say “they are my world”. She enjoyed going to the beauty shop, even when she didn’t need her hair done. For Granny the beauty shop was a social event, a place to visit with her lady friends. She was loved and will be missed by many.

Granny was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings; and her husband of 59 years, Steve.

Survivors include one brother; two daughters; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made to The Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center of Amarillo at 804 Quail Creek Drive, Amarillo TX 79124.
